Kashmir: Man shot dead in Kathua

Jammu, May 16 : A middle-aged man was allegedly shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district.
Police sources said the victim, identified as Roop Lal (40), was killed late last night in the Basantpur area of Lakhanpur. The sources added that the"assailants reportedly fired at him through a window of his residence."
Senior police officers along with a team reached the spot soon after the incident, and an investigation has been initiated to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the killing.
