
Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg on Wednesday held a review meeting with all Deputy Commissioners to assess progress on key administrative and relief-related issues across the Valley, including jobs for families of militancy victims, housing for affected families, and public grievance redressal.
The meeting reviewed appointments under SRO-43 for families affected by militancy-related violence, with Garg directing district heads to expedite pending cases. Implementation of self-employment schemes was also discussed, urging officers to actively guide beneficiaries, including minorities, to ensure real livelihood support.
Land transfer cases involving security agencies were examined, with strict adherence to land mutation laws emphasized. Public grievance disposal via the e-office platform was reviewed, and DCs were instructed to clear backlogs promptly.
Other issues discussed included the installation of BSNL towers in shadow zones, uniform relocation of transmission poles affected by the Ring Road project, clubbing terror victims with cross-border shelling-affected families under the housing scheme, and aligning stamp duty revisions with market rates. Officials were asked to speed up decision-making and field-level execution.
