GoC Kalia, Maj Gen Mavi call on Nagaland Governor

Kohima, May 18: Lieutenant General Girish Kalia, General Officer Commanding (GOC) 3 Corps, and Major General Harinder Singh Mavi, Inspector General Assam Rifles (North), called on Nagaland Governor Shri Nand Kishore Yadav at Lok Bhavan, Kohima.
During the meeting, the senior Army leadership is understood to have discussed matters related to security preparedness, coordination between civil administration and security forces, and ongoing operational and developmental activities in the region.
The interaction also focused on strengthening synergy among security agencies operating in the North Eastern region to ensure peace, stability, and effective implementation of developmental initiatives in border and sensitive areas.
The Governor appreciated the role of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles in maintaining peace and assisting civil authorities in various humanitarian and development-related tasks across Nagaland.
The meeting underscored the importance of continued cooperation between the armed forces and the state administration in addressing security challenges and supporting long-term development goals in the region.
