
Churachandpur, May 18: Assam Rifles under Spear Corps organised a Career Guidance Programme along with a Weapon Display in Churachandpur district of Manipur, aiming to inspire students to explore career opportunities in the Defence Forces and strengthen civil-military relations.
The event witnessed participation from around 120 students and 12 teachers, who were briefed on various avenues available in the Indian Armed Forces, including entry schemes, training processes, and career progression opportunities.
As part of the programme, Assam Rifles personnel also showcased a range of weapons and equipment used in operational duties, giving students a first-hand understanding of the technological and professional aspects of military service.
Officials said the initiative was designed to motivate youth towards a disciplined and service-oriented career path while fostering a sense of national pride and responsibility among the younger generation.
Students interacted with the personnel and raised queries regarding recruitment procedures, physical standards, and preparation strategies, which were addressed during the interactive session.
