Kashmiriyat fest event held at Baramulla school

Baramulla, April 10: Girls Higher Secondary School Baramulla, in collaboration with the Rashtriya Rifles, organised a vibrant Kashmiriyat-themed competition, celebrating the rich cultural heritage and composite traditions of the Valley.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students who showcased their talent through a range of activities including traditional music, poetry recitation, folk dance, painting, and cultural presentations reflecting the essence of Kashmiriyat—unity, harmony, and shared identity.
School premises came alive with colours and creativity as students highlighted themes of communal harmony, heritage preservation, and social unity. Participants presented soulful Kashmiri songs, performed Rouf and other folk dances, and recited poetry emphasizing peace and coexistence.
Officials from the Rashtriya Rifles, along with school faculty, appreciated the students’ efforts and underscored the importance of such initiatives in nurturing cultural awareness and national integration among youth. They encouraged students to stay connected with their roots while contributing positively to society.
The school administration expressed gratitude to the Rashtriya Rifles for their support in organising the event and providing a platform for students to express themselves creatively. They noted that such collaborations help in holistic development by combining education with cultural values.
The programme concluded with prize distribution, where winners were felicitated for their performances, while all participants were applauded for their enthusiasm and spirit.
