One person was killed while two others were rescued after a truck skidded off the road and plunged into a deep gorge in the Nachlana area along the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway on Tuesday.
An official said that two persons trapped in the vehicle were rescued by Quick Response Teams (QRT), Ramban Police, and personnel of 23 RR, who immediately launched a rescue operation in the challenging terrain.
The identity of the deceased and the driver’s whereabouts are yet to be confirmed.
Police has taken cognizance of the incident and launched an investigation.
