
The T-10 Cosco Cricket Tournament, organized by Srinagar Police, came to a successful conclusion with a colourful closing ceremony held at Redpora Stadium Downtown, Srinagar. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various teams across Downtown and drew a large crowd of local spectators.
SSP Srinagar graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, while the heads of major drug de-addiction Centres attended as Guests of Honor. SP North City Srinagar, SDPOs and officers of North zone were also present. Prominent members of trade associations, Intizamia Committees, and respected figures from the area were also present at the final ceremony.
The final match was played between Khanyar 11 and MR Gunj 11, with MR Gunj 11 emerging as the champions. The winning and runner-up teams, along with outstanding players, were awarded cash prizes, trophies, certificates of participation, cricket bats, and other sports accessories.
Speaking on the occasion, SSP Srinagar emphasized that J&K Police is committed to engaging with youth through sports activities as a constructive initiative to steer them away from drug abuse. The event received widespread appreciation from the local community, particularly the youth, who hailed the efforts of the police in promoting positive and healthy engagements in Downtown.
