12th class Summer Zone results declared, 89.79% students declared qualified

Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) today declared the results of Annual/Regular 12th Class (Summer Zone) areas of Jammu division.

As per the official statistics, a total of 39,309 students appeared in the examination (20,376 boys and 18,933 girls), out of which 35,299 (18117 boys and 17182 girls) successfully qualified, registering an overall pass percentage of 89.79%, a notable improvement than the previous year pass percentage of 75.95.

The performance of girls has once again surpassed that of boys. The pass percentage among girls stands at 90.75%, compared to 88.91% among boys.

The examination had commenced on February 23, 2026 and the JKBOSE had established 336 examination centres in the Jammu Division for the smooth conduct of examination.

Interestingly, Government Schools have also performed well by showing a Pass percentage of 87.82%.

Congratulating students on remarkable performance in 12th class examination, Minister for Education, Social Welfare, Health and Medical Education, Sakeena Itoo said that these remarkable results demonstrate a strong commitment to quality education and competitive performance. “The improved results compared to previous years, indicate the positive impact of ongoing educational reforms initiated by the Government, enhanced teaching methodologies, and better student support systems”, she stated.

The Minister also noted with appreciation that girls outperformed boys, achieving a pass percentage of 90.75% compared to 88.91% among boys.

Commending the efforts of the teaching community, she said that their dedication, especially in ensuring continuity of learning, has played a crucial role in achieving these outcomes.

Encouraging students who could not qualify, the Minister urged them to remain determined and make use of continuing opportunities, assuring them of continued institutional support.

“The results are not just numbers but a testament to the hard work of our students and the collective efforts of educators and families. We remain committed to further improving the quality of education and providing every student with the opportunity to succeed,” she added.

The Minister extended her best wishes to all successful candidates for their future endeavours and encouraged them to continue striving for excellence in their chosen fields.
