September 15, 2026 | BK NEWS SERVICE

Pasighat, Sep 14: Fourteen local youths from Arunachal Pradesh have been selected in the APSSB Constable Recruitment process after receiving focused training and mentorship under Project SeVAA (Skill Enhancement, Vocational & Academic Aspirations), an initiative of a Spear Corps formation of the Indian Army.

The programme, conducted at Pasighat, aims to equip local youth with the skills, knowledge and confidence required to compete successfully in government recruitment examinations and other career opportunities.
As part of the initiative, candidates preparing for the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) Constable Recruitment received structured guidance and training. The effort has now produced encouraging results, with 14 candidates securing selection, while two others have been placed on the waiting list.
The achievement marks a significant milestone for the participating youth and reflects the impact of sustained academic support and mentorship in helping candidates prepare for competitive examinations.
Project SeVAA focuses on creating meaningful opportunities for young people by strengthening their academic capabilities, improving employability and encouraging them to pursue careers through competitive examinations and skill-based pathways.
The initiative also seeks to bridge gaps faced by youth in remote and geographically challenging areas, where access to specialised coaching and career guidance can often be limited.
The successful selection of the candidates has further strengthened the confidence of young aspirants and highlighted the potential of local youth when provided with appropriate training, mentorship and opportunities.
The Indian Army said the initiative reflects its continued commitment to youth empowerment, capacity building and nation-building in the Northeast.
The success of the APSSB candidates is expected to encourage more local youth to participate in similar training programmes and pursue opportunities in government services and other professional fields.
