Continuing its crackdown against absconders, Police arrested two absconders who were absconding from last many years.
A police party of Shopian Police arrested two Absconders namely Ashiq Hussain Wani son of Ab Aziz Wani resident of Ganowpora Shopian involved in case FIR No. 220/2009 under section 457, 380 RPC and Shakeel Ahmed Dogra son of Satar Dogra resident of Karewa Malnoo Shopian involved in case FIR No. 454/1999 under section 147, 353, 379 RPC.
Warrant of arrest was issued by the Hon’ble Court of Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Shopian against the said accused persons. They were evading their arrests since 1999 and 2009 respectively. The duo was produced before the Hon’ble Court of Judicial Magistrate 1st Class Shopian on 27.03.2024.
Police is implementing rigorous measures to ensure that all individuals who are absconding their arrests are apprehended and held accountable for their criminal actions. This dedication to combating crime will remain steadfast.
