Srinagar, Nov 8: Security forces on Sunday arrested two persons in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir and recovered arms and ammunition from them.

A police spokesman said at about 11.30 am, during naka checking conducted by a joint team of Police Station Kulgam, 09 RR and CRPF 18 BN two suspicious persons attempted to flee upon noticing the naka party but were tactfully apprehended.
“During preliminary questioning, they were identified as Muneeb Yaseen Rather and Tahir Bilal, both residents of Bugam. Upon search, one pistol along with a magazine and two live rounds were recovered from Muneeb while two live hand grenades were recovered from Tahir,” he said.
The police spokesman said FIR No. 213/2026 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Kulgam, and further investigation has been taken up.
