
The Rajasthan police have arrested two youngsters who were found near the India-Pakistan international border on Friday evening.
The police have identified the two suspects as Jameel Iqbal and Maruf Hussain, both residents of Poonch district in Jammu region of the union territory.
A senior police officer said the two youth were arrested in Rajasthan’s Jaisalmer district on Saturday after they were found were collecting donations in the prohibited area without permission, they said.
The cops questioned the duo about their motive after which they their custody was taken by a Joint Investigation Committee. Sources said the two suspects would be questioned by security and intelligence agencies of the state.
Reports said Khuiyala police outpost had received a tipoff that the two youths were loitering around in the prohibited area on Friday, following which they were detained.
The J&K Police has been informed about the arrests and further investigations are underway.
