Jammu, Oct 27: Jammu and Kashmir Police have arrested two persons for allegedly sharing sensitive security-related information in bordering the Ranbir Singh (RS) Pura belt in Jammu.

Official sources said that acting on credible information, two persons were taken into custody for allegedly sharing sensitive information with foreign intelligence operatives and handlers linked to terrorist organisations, including Pakistan-based entities.
The arrested persons are residents of Akhnoor and R S Pura in Jammu.
Police have registered a case under Sections 3 and 5 of the Official Secrets Act, 1923, and Sections 152 and 61(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Further investigation is underway to establish the full extent of the alleged activities, ascertain the possible security implications and identify other persons involved in the network, they said.
Police have reiterated its commitment to safeguarding national security and taking firm legal action against activities prejudicial to the security and integrity of the nation.
