At least four people were killed and eight others injured when a tempo they were travelling in skidded off the road and rolled down into a deep gorge in Reasi district on Tuesay.
A police official said the tempo from Jammu to Bagankote fell into a very deep gorge, apparently after the driver lost control over it.
“Four people travelling the vehicle died on the spot and eight others were injured in the accident,” he said.
The injured were shifted to nearby hospital by local volunteers, police and allied field agencies.
The doctors are attending on the injured persons.
Police have registered a case and started investigations.
