
The 4th J&K UT Level Carrom Championship 2024-25 was officially inaugurated today at Sher-i-Kashmir Indoor Sports Complex, Srinagar, by Mr. Adil Rashid Shah, President of the Jammu and Kashmir Carrom Association, along with Mr. Maqsood Khan, Manager of SKISC, Srinagar. The two-day event is being organized by the Jammu and Kashmir Carrom Association, in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, under the "My Youth My Pride" initiative, and is hosted by the District Srinagar Carrom Association.
The opening ceremony was attended by esteemed officials, including Arif Sultan (Treasurer, J&K Carrom Association), Dawar Rashid (Assistant General Secretary), and other dignitaries. The association expressed its gratitude to the J&K Sports Council for providing all necessary facilities and extended special appreciation to Secretary Sports Council, Nuzhat Gull, for her dedication to promoting sports in the region.
The championship has witnessed enthusiastic participation, with around 120 players from various districts of Jammu and Kashmir competing in different categories. The matches have been highly competitive, with players showcasing remarkable skills and sportsmanship.
