The injured were evacuated and shifted to Billawar hospital for treatment. The official said that a case has been lodged.
LG Manoj Sinha has expressed grief over the accident and prayed for speedy recovery of the injured.
Anguished by the loss of lives in a tragic road accident in Kathua. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the bereaved families. Praying for the speedy recovery of those injured. Directed district administration to provide best possible treatment to injured.
More people die in road-related accidents in Jammu and Kashmir than the ongoing insurgency. Lax implementation of rules and corruption in the traffic department and police force is widely believed to be responsible for an increasing number of road accidents in the union territory.
