Kohima, Nov 1: In a significant professional development initiative, the Assam Rifles organized a Field Orientation Programme for the trainee officers of the 55th Batch Course of NEPA at their Kiphire Battalion in Nagaland. The visit, which took place as part of the officers' training, aimed to provide them with an in-depth understanding of operational readiness, administrative functions, and the complex security challenges faced along the Indo-Myanmar border.

During the session, the officers were briefed on the critical role played by Assam Rifles in maintaining border security and conducting counter-insurgency operations in the region. The training emphasized the importance of maintaining vigilance and preparedness, particularly in sensitive areas like Kiphire, which are vulnerable to cross-border insurgent activities and illegal trafficking.
