
The 9th Srinagar District Fencing Championship concluded successfully with a well-organized closing ceremony. The championship was organized by the Srinagar District Fencing Association and conducted under the aegis of the Jammu & Kashmir Fencing Association, which is an affiliated body of the Fencing Association of India (FAI).
The championship witnessed the participation of more than 70 students from various schools and fencing clubs of Srinagar, reflecting the growing interest in fencing among the youth of the district.
The closing ceremony was graced by Mr. Sameer Muzaffar Mir, Joint Secretary of the Jammu & Kashmir Fencing Association, who attended as the Chief Guest. In his address, he appreciated the efforts of the organizers, officials, and coaches for the smooth conduct of the championship and encouraged young fencers to work hard and aim for higher levels of competition.
The tournament was conducted under the technical supervision of Ms. Raziya Sultana, who served as the Technical Head of the championship, ensuring fair play and adherence to fencing rules and standards.
Winners and runners-up in various categories were felicitated during the ceremony, marking a successful conclusion to the championship.
