Action sought into misleading advertisements by coaching centre in Pulwama

The management of a coaching center located in the town of Pulwama has advertised misleading banners to lure students towards their coaching centre. However, the government has introduced draft guidelines to control misleading advertisements by coaching centres.It has been done while public opinion has also been sought in this regard.
The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has sought public feedback on 'Draft Guidelines to Prevent Misleading Advertisements in the Coaching Sector'. .
However, a private coaching center in Pulwama is mislead students by pasting fake advertisements ignoring the central guidelines.
Sources told, that this coaching center called Great Shah I hamdan coaching institute (GSCA) is playing pranks on the students and their families by putting up posters and banners at different places of Pulwama town by advertising misleading advertisements to the students and attracting their attention towards center.
Reported received, that this coaching center has made a criminal attempt to make people believe that these doctors and engineers have studied for their degrees from the same institution by pasting pictures of certain eminent doctors and engineers on their banners.Although sources also told, this institution has started coaching for students in Pulwama town only 8 months ago, but in this regard dozens of doctors and engineers have been pasted on banners at the intersections, sumo stands and communication roads of the town.
It may be mentioned that the (CCPA) has drafted guidelines to prevent false claims about the success rate, number of selections, misuse of banners etc. by any person engaged in coaching through advertisements.They define 'coaching' as tutoring, instruction, educational support or learning programs, or guidance provided by any person. The guidelines lay down provisions for misleading advertisements.
Meanwhile, people have demanded action against the coaching center for ignoring the orders issued by the central government and misleading the students through misleading advertisements. The students alleged that the education department was turning a blind eye to the matter.
