Imphal/Kohima, Aug 27: Assam Rifles, under Spear Corps, continued its community outreach and humanitarian assistance initiatives across Manipur and Nagaland, providing timely medical support and essential healthcare services to local residents.

At Noney in Manipur, Assam Rifles personnel extended immediate medical assistance to a snake-bite victim, helping stabilise the patient and facilitating timely medical care. The intervention highlighted the importance of rapid response, particularly in areas where access to specialised healthcare can be challenging.
In Peren district of Nagaland, Assam Rifles organised a medical camp offering free health check-ups, consultations, treatment and medicines to local beneficiaries. The camp provided residents an opportunity to access basic healthcare services while also creating awareness about timely medical attention and preventive healthcare.
The outreach also extended to Kohima, where timely assistance was provided to a 75-year-old patient undergoing treatment for serious health conditions. Assam Rifles personnel supported the patient and family during a difficult period, reinforcing the force's focus on compassionate assistance beyond its operational responsibilities.
The initiatives form part of Assam Rifles' continuing efforts to strengthen its engagement with communities through medical outreach, emergency assistance and welfare-oriented activities.
