Pallel Garrison,, Dec 15: Assam Rifles organised a Specialist Medical Camp at Pallel Garrison, Kakching District, reaffirming its commitment to community welfare and healthcare support for civilians and personnel in remote areas of Manipur.

The camp featured specialist consultations in Ophthalmology, General Medicine, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Dentistry, and Orthopaedics, providing comprehensive healthcare services to address both routine and specialised medical needs. A total of 250 beneficiaries—including 180 local civilians and 70 Assam Rifles personnel with their families—availed the free services.
Participants received thorough health screenings, medical advice, counselling, and essential medicines. The services and medicines were sponsored under the SHAURYA HDFC Life Initiative, ensuring cost-free access to quality healthcare for all attendees.
Officials highlighted that the camp not only addressed immediate health concerns but also promoted preventive health awareness, early diagnosis, and overall well-being. Such initiatives are part of Assam Rifles’ ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with local communities, support vulnerable populations, and enhance healthcare accessibility in underserved regions.
