Kakching , April 30 : Assam Rifles under Spear Corps conducted an interactive outreach programme along with a weapon display at Pallel Garrison in Kakching district, aimed at engaging youth and promoting awareness about career opportunities in the armed forces.
The event saw participation from around 80 individuals, including students and parents from nearby areas. The session was designed to familiarize participants with the functioning of Assam Rifles, recruitment procedures, and avenues available for skill development and national service.
During the interaction, officials provided detailed guidance on entry pathways into the force, physical and educational requirements, and the role of youth in contributing to national security. Emphasis was also placed on discipline, training, and personal development through defence services.
A key highlight of the programme was the live display of operational weapons and equipment used by Assam Rifles personnel. The demonstration offered participants a closer look at modern defence tools and their operational usage, generating significant interest among attendees.
Officials stated that such initiatives are part of a broader effort to connect with local communities, especially the youth, and encourage them to explore opportunities in uniformed services. The programme also aimed at building trust, awareness, and a sense of national responsibility among young participants.
The interactive session concluded with a question-and-answer segment, where students and parents clarified their doubts regarding recruitment, training, and career prospects in the armed forces.
Assam Rifles reiterated its commitment to continue conducting similar outreach programmes in the region to inspire youth towards constructive engagement and nation-building.
