
Chandel, Nov 22: The Assam Rifles, operating under the Spear Corps, in collaboration with IIT Dhanbad, is set to organize a five-day Drone Bootcamp at DTN Modi, Chandel, Manipur, from 1st to 5th December 2025. The initiative, conducted under the aegis of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), aims to provide participants with hands-on training in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) technology and applications.
The bootcamp will focus on key areas including FPV drone assembly, sensor integration, flight operations, and UAV system management. Participants will also gain practical exposure to drone navigation, real-time monitoring, and troubleshooting techniques.
The program is designed to encourage youth and technology enthusiasts from the region to develop technical skills in drone technology, fostering innovation, research, and potential career opportunities in emerging defense and civilian sectors. It also aligns with broader efforts to promote science, technology, and innovation among students and professionals in the Northeast.
