Kohima, Oct 6: In a bid to inspire and motivate the youth, the Assam Rifles organised a motivational talk on Operation Sindoor at Don Bosco College, Kohima, Nagaland, on Saturday. The event, attended by around 370 students, was part of a larger outreach initiative aimed at spreading awareness in schools and colleges about the valour and sacrifices of India’s armed forces.
During the interactive session, officers shared an insightful account of Operation Sindoor — detailing its strategic planning, daring execution, and the subsequent defensive measures taken to safeguard India’s airspace and national security. The presentation provided students with a rare glimpse into the complexities of military operations and the unwavering commitment of personnel who ensure the nation’s safety.
The programme also focused on fostering patriotism, strengthening the bond between the armed forces and the youth, and motivating students to consider a career in defence services.
Students expressed enthusiasm and appreciation for the session, describing it as an eye-opening experience that deepened their understanding of the armed forces' role in protecting the nation.
Assam Rifles officials said such outreach programmes will continue across educational institutions in the Northeast to build awareness, instil national pride, and inspire the next generation to serve the country
