Angangba, July 12: Continuing its commitment to community welfare and healthcare outreach, the Assam Rifles organised a dental camp at Angangba village in Nagaland, providing essential dental care services and promoting awareness about oral hygiene among the local population.

The camp, held on July 11 as part of the force's ongoing civic action programme, witnessed enthusiastic participation from villagers, who availed themselves of free dental consultations and treatment.
A team of qualified dental professionals conducted detailed oral examinations and offered comprehensive treatment to patients suffering from various dental ailments. The services included tooth fillings, extractions and consultations on common oral health issues.
In addition to treatment, the medical team educated villagers on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene, stressing that proper dental care plays a vital role in preventing serious health complications.
Oral hygiene kits and essential dental care aids were distributed among the villagers to encourage healthy daily practices and improve awareness about preventive dental care.
The doctors also guided participants on correct brushing techniques, maintaining oral cleanliness, the importance of regular dental check-ups and adopting healthy dietary habits to prevent tooth decay and gum diseases.
Residents appreciated the initiative, stating that such healthcare camps provide valuable medical assistance, particularly in remote areas where access to specialised dental services remains limited.
The Assam Rifles has been regularly organising medical and civic action programmes across the Northeast as part of its efforts to strengthen community engagement, improve healthcare accessibility and contribute to the overall well-being of people living in remote villages.
The initiative once again reflected the force's commitment to serving not only as a security organisation but also as a partner in community development and public welfare
