Kangpokpi, Feb 10: In a significant humanitarian initiative, the Assam Rifles distributed essential supplies to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at Shonglong-I village in Kangpokpi district on 10 February 2026. The drive was organized as part of the paramilitary force’s ongoing outreach programs to support communities affected by communal unrest in the region.

During the distribution, Assam Rifles personnel handed over essential items including food grains, clothing, blankets, hygiene kits, and other basic necessities to the affected families.
