Imphal, Dec 23: Intelligence-based joint operations conducted by Indian Army and Assam Rifles formations under Spear Corps, in coordination with Manipur Police, between December 13 and 20, 2025, have successfully strengthened security in the hill and valley districts of Manipur.

The operations, carried out across Thoubal, Kakching, Bishnupur, Churachandpur, Ukhrul, Imphal East, and Imphal West, focused on neutralising insurgent activities and disrupting networks involved in militancy, arms smuggling, and illegal activities in the region.
During the week-long operations, security forces apprehended 20 cadres and recovered two weapons, explosives, contraband, and other war-like stores, thereby preventing potential threats to public safety and maintaining law and order.
Officials highlighted that these coordinated operations were based on precise intelligence inputs, demonstrating effective inter-agency cooperation and proactive counter-insurgency measures. The successful execution of these operations underscores the commitment of the Indian Army, Assam Rifles, and local police to ensuring peace, security, and stability in Manipur, while sending a strong message against militant and illegal activities in the region.
