Kohima, July 4: Eastern Army Commander Lieutenant General V.M.B. Krishnan called on Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and held discussions on peace, security, regional development and nation-building.

During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed the prevailing security situation in the region and discussed measures to further strengthen peace, harmony and stability in Nagaland. They also deliberated on issues relating to development, civil-military cooperation and initiatives aimed at promoting inclusive growth across the state.
The discussions underscored the importance of close coordination between the Army, the state government and civil administration in maintaining a peaceful environment while supporting developmental activities and improving the well-being of local communities.
