Northern Command Army Commander Lieutenant General M V Suchindra Kumar on Friday reviewed the security scenario along the Line of Control in Akhnoor sector of Jammu.
"Lt Gen M V Suchindra Kumar, Army Commander, Northern Command along with GOC, White Knight Corps Lt Gen Navin Sachdeva on Friday visited Akhnoor Sector to review the operational readiness of the formation," Northern Command posted on X.
It further posted, "The Army Commander took stock of situation along Line of Control in Akhnoor Sector and was briefed on the assertive stance."
On Feb 11, two Army personnel including a Captain were killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast suspected to be triggered by terrorists in Akhnoor sector.
On Feb 14, an army jawan sustained injury in a sniper shot suspected to be fired from across the border in the Keri area of Akhnoor sector.
