Imphal, May 21: Lieutenant General V. M. B. Krishnan, Army Commander, Eastern Command, visited Army and Assam Rifles formations in Manipur to assess the prevailing security situation and review operational readiness.

During his visit, the Army Commander was briefed in detail on the current operational dynamics, including ground-level security challenges and ongoing counter-insurgency efforts in the region. Senior commanders outlined preparedness levels, coordination mechanisms, and measures being taken to maintain stability.
Lt Gen Krishnan interacted with troops deployed in the area and commended them for maintaining high standards of professionalism, discipline, and alertness under challenging conditions. He appreciated their sustained commitment to duty and their role in ensuring peace and security in the region.
