In the aftermath of the recent Ceasefire Violations by the Pakistan Army, the Indian Army continues to stand firmly with the affected, innocent civilians of villages near Uri, who bore the brunt of inhuman targeting by the Pakistani Forces.
The Indian Army organised a medical camp for the populace of border villages of Uri. On May 18, 2025, more than 400 civilians including ladies, children and elderly from the villages of Gingal A & B, Bararipura, Muqampeeran, Maiyan, Dara Gutliyan, Choolan, Dhanni and Bijhama benefitted from the medical services and amenities facilitated by Indian Army.
Among the team of medical professionals, clinical psychologist, dentist, gynaecologist and paediatrician were present to attend to the grievances of the citizens living in the aforesaid fringe villages.
Most importantly, several villagers & families were not able to come for the camp. To obviate the hardships of travel due to circumstances, age or disability, a dedicated team visited such families and provided required services, at their door step.
This event proved to be a 'midas touch of healing' for the locals besides upholding the ethos of the Indian Army, the guardian angel of our awaam. Despite the challenges, the resilience of the people and the dedication of the Indian Army remain steadfast.
