Army organises several progs across Kashmir to celebrate R- Day

On the occasion of the 76th Republic Day, the Indian Army celebrated the spirit of unity, patriotism and national pride across multiple locations in the Kashmir Valley, with events and welfare initiatives designed to foster community engagement and inspire the youth. The celebrations spearheaded by the Chinar Corps witnessed active participation and enthusiasm from all strata of the Kashmir, weaving a tapestry of unity and patriotism.
Key events took place at strategic locations, showcasing the Indian Army’s commitment to National integration and fostering a strong bond with the local population. These events emphasised the shared values of patriotism, security, and progress, reflecting the unyielding resolve of the Indian Army in safeguarding the Nation's sovereignty and integrity. For the first time, the national flag was unfurled at Tral Chowk in Pulwama District, marking a historic moment of peace & unity. The event attended by over 1,000 enthusiastic locals was filled with patriotic fervor. This milestone not only marked a new chapter for Tral, long known for unrest, but also stood as a testament to the success of peace-building initiatives by the Indian Army. Other event included a 'Run for Fun,' which saw the participation of boys and girls from the local community, promoting physical fitness and fostering a sense of national pride.
In Baramulla, the “Know Your Army” exhibition demonstrated operational strength, cutting-edge technology and military might of the Indian Army. The event showcased diverse assets of the Indian Army, including drone flypast, advanced vehicles, Artillery Guns as well as martial arts performances by Chinar YUVA Karate Kids. A 35-meter-high National Flag stood as the centrepiece, while a Mobile Museum took attendees through the history of Army-community collaboration. More than 2,500 attendees, including security forces, NCC cadets, and prominent members of civil society, witnessed the event, leaving them inspired by the professionalism and motivated to contribute to the Nation’s building.
In an another significant events ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign was organised in Bagtore village in Gurez valley. It also sought to honour the sacrifices of freedom fighters and instil the importance of the tricolour as a symbol of sovereignty and integrity. On this momentous occasion, Azmat-e-Hind complex at Tithwal Chiliana Crossing Point witnessed the fervour and patriotism of the locals who with deep enthusiasm participated in strength to express solidarity. The diverse events conducted across the Kashmir Valley are a poignant reminder of the enduring relationship between the Indian Army and the Awaam.
The Republic day events across the valley were a testament to regions transformation, reflecting its aspirations for peace, unity and progress. The unwavering participation of locals and collaborative efforts of security forces underscored the commitment to building a harmonious & prosperous future.
