Army upgrades school infrastructure in border area

The Indian Army, committed to fostering holistic development in the region, has undertaken an initiative to upgrade the infrastructure of Government Middle High School, Chotali (Baramulla District) located in the border areas of Jammu and Kashmir along the Line of Control. Recognising the pivotal role education plays in shaping the future of the youth, the Indian Army has decided to donate essential furniture and infrastructure to enhance the learning environment at the school hereby making it at par with any reputed school in any city or town.

The classes of the school will be converted into smart classrooms with latest amenities. It will be a game changer in the field of education. This gesture was aimed to provide students with a conducive environment that encourages learning and growth thereby getting in sync with modern technology in the remotest part of the country.
The initiative is not limited to Chotali alone. The Indian Army plans to extend similar support to other schools in border villages, including Government School, Gagar Hill and Government Primary School, Somwali. By doing so, the Indian Army seeks to empower the youth in these areas with quality education, enabling them to build a brighter future for themselves and contribute to the holistic development of Jammu and Kashmir and the Nation.
Teachers at Govt Middle High School, Chotali lauded the initiative as it will have major impact on the standard of education in border areas. Students at school looked euphoric with this upgradation & conveyed their firm resolve to accrue maximum benefits out of this.
Through this initiative, the Indian Army reaffirms its commitment to the welfare and development of the people of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly the youth and its dedication to creating opportunities that can help youth realise their full potential. This will also enhance civil military cohesion in the region by giving local populace access to the benefits of education.
