In a proud moment for Uttarakhand, the young athletes of Aryaman Vikram Birla Institute of Learning have once again made their mark on the national sports stage. The school’s badminton team clinched the Under-17 Boys title at the prestigious CBSE Cluster Badminton Championship, held from July 10 to 15 at Radha Govind Public School, Meerut.
The tournament witnessed participation from over 480 schools across the country, each showcasing their best talent in a competitive and spirited environment. Despite the fierce competition, the team from Aryaman Vikram Birla stood out with their skill, strategy, and sheer determination.
In the final match, the Haldwani team delivered a spectacular performance against The Shriram School, Agra. With powerful smashes, precise net play, and well-timed strokes, the players left no room for the opposition to recover. Their dominance on the court reflected not only their training but also their deep understanding of the game.
The team’s star performers — Yatharth Kirola, Shubh Aditya Pathak, and Shaurya Yadav — played exceptionally throughout the tournament. Their aggressive play, quick reflexes, and team coordination won the hearts of the audience and brought laurels to their school.
Speaking on the achievement, Principal Pravesh Mehra congratulated the players and their parents, saying,
“This victory is not just for the school but for the entire Haldwani community. Our students continue to shine through discipline, hard work, and commitment.”
Coach K.K. Yadav, who mentored the team through rigorous training, added,
“This success is the result of consistent practice, fitness, and a never-give-up attitude. Our next target is to excel at the national level.”
With this victory, the Aryaman Vikram Birla team has not only lifted the championship trophy but also lifted the pride of their city and state. Their journey continues — from cluster champions to national hopefuls.
