
Peren, Nagaland Sep 18: In a spirited effort to promote linguistic unity and cultural pride, the Assam Rifles celebrated “Hindi Utsav: Samvad Ka Setu” at its unit in Peren, Nagaland. The event, held with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor, aimed to encourage the use of Hindi as a medium of expression and foster a deeper connection among personnel through language.
A total of 71 Assam Rifles personnel participated in the Utsav, actively engaging in a range of Hindi language competitions that included:
Poem recitation
Speech contests
Essay writing
Application writing
Hindi typing challenges
The competitions provided a vibrant platform for the troops to showcase their creativity, eloquence, and command over the national language. Participants impressed judges and fellow soldiers alike with their original compositions, articulate speeches, and thoughtful essays—demonstrating not only language skills but also their understanding of India’s diverse cultural heritage.
The event created a lively and inspirational atmosphere, reinforcing Hindi's role as a "Setu" (bridge) of communication among troops from diverse backgrounds.
