
Shillong, Feb 2: Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the Indian Coast Guard, flagged off a Joint Bike Rally from the Headquarters Directorate General Assam Rifles (HQ DGAR), Laitkor, Shillong, on February 2, 2026. The rally is being conducted in multiple phases to promote inter-service camaraderie, national integration, and a spirit of service.
Phase I of the rally, covering the route from Haldia to Shillong, was successfully completed, demonstrating coordination and teamwork between the participating units. Phase II was flagged off by Brigadier Sandip Chatterjee, SM, and will traverse from Shillong to Pangsau Pass in South Arunachal Pradesh, covering key strategic locations and frontier regions.
