Kohima, Dec 23: Assam Rifles and the Indian Coast Guard signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on December 23, 2025, at HQ DGAR, marking a significant step towards strengthening inter-service collaboration and officer selection processes.

The MoU formalises the implementation of the Holistic Nature Test (HNT) for the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination (LDCE), ensuring a more structured, transparent, and professional framework for evaluating candidates seeking officer positions within the forces.
The collaboration underscores a shared commitment to excellence in personnel selection, standardising assessment procedures, and promoting fairness and meritocracy. Officials from both organisations highlighted that the agreement will enhance operational readiness by ensuring the selection of competent and well-rounded officers.
