Assam Rifles concludes 15-Day NIT with interaction at Spear Corps HQ

Dimapur, Sep 23: Assam Rifles successfully concluded its 15-day National Integration Tour (NIT) with an interactive session at Headquarters Spear Corps, Dimapur. The tour, which began earlier this month, brought together a 31-member delegation from Tengnoupal district, Manipur, comprising 26 representatives of civil society organisations (CSOs) and five personnel from Assam Rifles.

The delegation was accorded a warm reception by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Spear Corps, who highlighted the significance of such initiatives in strengthening bonds between the armed forces and the people. During the session, the participants were given insights into the role of the armed forces in safeguarding national integrity, maintaining peace, and contributing to inclusive development in the region.
The GOC lauded the efforts of Assam Rifles for conducting the tour and encouraged the delegates to use their experiences to foster harmony, unity, and constructive community development in their respective areas.
The National Integration Tour is part of Assam Rifles’ continued efforts to bridge cultural gaps, promote awareness, and instill a spirit of national pride among citizens, particularly from remote border regions.
