Aizawl, June 4: A blood donation camp was organised at Zokhawsang in Aizawl, Mizoram, where personnel of Assam Rifles voluntarily came forward to donate blood in a humanitarian initiative aimed at strengthening local healthcare resources and emergency blood reserves.

A total of 49 Assam Rifles personnel participated in the camp, contributing to the collection of blood units that will support patients in need of urgent medical care across the region. The initiative highlighted the force’s continued commitment to community welfare alongside its operational responsibilities.
The camp was conducted in collaboration with authorities from Civil Hospital Aizawl, who supervised the medical procedures and ensured all health and safety protocols were strictly followed during the donation process.
Hospital officials appreciated the proactive gesture of the Assam Rifles personnel, noting that voluntary blood donation plays a crucial role in maintaining adequate blood stocks, particularly in emergency situations where timely availability can save lives.
