Nagaland, Jan 20: As part of its ongoing Civic Action Programme, Assam Rifles under Spear Corps organised a Free Medical Camp at Wui and Choklangan villages on 17 and 18 January 2026. The initiative aimed to provide essential healthcare services to local communities and enhance awareness about preventive health measures.
During the two-day camp, a total of 265 civilians, including men, women, and children, received comprehensive medical check-ups, health screenings, and consultations from the medical team. Free medicines were also distributed to ensure immediate relief for common ailments and to support ongoing health management for chronic conditions.
The medical camp focused on primary healthcare, preventive diagnostics, and health education, helping villagers address health issues that often go untreated due to limited access to medical facilities. Specialists also provided guidance on nutrition, hygiene, and lifestyle practices to promote overall well-being.
Through this initiative, Assam Rifles reinforced its commitment to community welfare and development, strengthening civil-military relations and ensuring that remote and underserved populations receive essential healthcare support. The programme reflects the force’s dedication to social responsibility alongside its operational duties, fostering goodwill and improving the quality of life in border and rural areas.
