Assam Rifles conduct medical camps in Nagaland

Kohima , Mar 7: Under the aegis of Spear Corps, the Assam Rifles along with Spear Healers organized multiple health outreach initiatives in Nagaland, including a Medical Camp at Miao and a Medical and Blood Donation Camp at Rangapahar Military Station, Dimapur.
The camps provided comprehensive health check-ups, medical consultations, and awareness sessions to local residents, covering preventive healthcare, hygiene, and disease management. Doctors and paramedical staff offered guidance on maintaining general health, early detection of common ailments, and lifestyle management.
The blood donation camp at Rangapahar witnessed enthusiastic participation from Assam Rifles personnel and civilian volunteers, underlining the unit’s commitment to community welfare and social responsibility. Donors were guided on safe blood donation procedures, and awareness was raised about the critical importance of blood donation in saving lives.
Officials emphasized that such initiatives under Operation Sadbhavana reflect the Assam Rifles’ dedication to healthcare outreach and capacity building in remote and border areas. These camps aim not only to provide immediate medical assistance but also to educate the community on preventive health measures and healthy living practices.
Participants expressed gratitude for the medical services and highlighted that such camps help address healthcare gaps in regions with limited medical infrastructure. The Assam Rifles reiterated its commitment to continuing similar community-centric programs, strengthening trust and cooperation between the armed forces and local communities.
