Mizoram, Mar 10: The Assam Rifles conducted an outreach program for youth aspiring to join the Indian Army as Agniveers at Lunglei Polytechnic College in Lunglei district and Zorinpui village in Lawngtlai district. The initiative aimed to motivate students, provide guidance on career opportunities in the armed forces, and explain the recruitment process for the Agniveer scheme.

A total of 120 students attended the program, actively engaging with the Assam Rifles team and expressing keen interest in pursuing a career in the Indian Army. The outreach included detailed sessions on eligibility criteria, registration procedures, training modules, and benefits of joining the armed forces under the Agniveer initiative.
Officials also carried out on-the-spot registration for eligible candidates, ensuring that interested youth could take the first step toward enlistment. The program emphasized the values of discipline, patriotism, and professional growth while encouraging students to consider the Indian Army as a viable and honorable career option.
