Assam Rifles conducts community event in Mizoram

On 26 December 2025, Assam Rifles under SpearCorps organized a multi-faceted community engagement initiative in Lunglei district, Mizoram, in collaboration with the local Thutak Nutpuitu Team (TNT). The event included a volleyball tournament, a medical camp, and the distribution of essential commodities to residents of the area, reflecting Assam Rifles’ commitment to community welfare and development.

The volleyball tournament drew enthusiastic participation from local youth, with teams competing for cash prizes awarded to the winners, fostering sportsmanship and healthy competition in the region. The medical camp provided residents with access to basic health check-ups, consultations, and necessary medications, addressing healthcare needs in remote areas.
In addition, Assam Rifles distributed essential commodities to support vulnerable families and enhance their quality of life, demonstrating the force’s sustained focus on humanitarian and civic action initiatives. The collaboration with TNT reinforced community bonds and highlighted Assam Rifles’ role as a partner in the socio-economic development of the North East.
The event underscored the organization’s motto of being a “Friend of the North East” while promoting holistic development, health, and youth engagement in the region.
