
Mao, Manipur, Nov 24: The Assam Rifles, in collaboration with the National Service Scheme (NSS) volunteers of Asufi Christian Institute, Maram, organized a Unity March on November 22, 2025, to commemorate the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, one of India’s most distinguished freedom fighters.
The march, held in Mao, Manipur, aimed to instill a sense of national pride and educate students on Patel’s instrumental role in India’s struggle for independence and his unwavering commitment to unifying the nation post-independence. Participants were briefed on his vision, leadership qualities, and pivotal decisions that helped shape a strong and integrated India.
Students from the Asufi Christian Institute actively participated in the march, carrying banners and posters highlighting Patel’s achievements and his dedication to national unity. Assam Rifles personnel engaged with the students, conducting interactive sessions and discussions to deepen their understanding of India’s freedom movement and the importance of unity in diversity.
