
Kohima, Oct 1: In a move aimed at promoting youth engagement and community development, the Assam Rifles distributed sports items to the residents of Sangtsunger, Thanamir, Khongka, and Khongjiri villages in Kiphire, Nagaland, under the AR CAP 2025–26 initiative. The distribution included volleyballs, footballs, and nets, providing much-needed equipment to encourage sports and recreational activities in these remote border areas.
The initiative was warmly received by locals, students, and youth, who expressed gratitude to the Assam Rifles for supporting their interest in outdoor activities. By providing opportunities for organized sports, the force hopes to channel the energy of the younger generation into constructive pursuits, fostering fitness, discipline, and healthy competition.
