Imphal, July 9: Reinforcing its commitment to youth empowerment and sustainable livelihood generation, the Assam Rifles successfully concluded its Skill Development Programme 6.0 with a solemn felicitation ceremony held at Bamon Awang Leikai in Imphal East district of Manipur.
Organised in collaboration with We Care Skill Solutions, the 12-week programme equipped 44 young participants, including 19 boys and 25 girls, with industry-oriented skills in the Hospitality and Retail sectors, preparing them for employment opportunities in leading urban centres across the country.
The programme focused on enhancing professional competencies, communication skills, workplace ethics and customer service, enabling the trainees to meet the demands of the modern service industry. Experienced trainers conducted practical sessions aimed at improving employability and building confidence among the participants.
A major highlight of the initiative was the successful placement of all 44 trainees with reputed establishments in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai and Gurugram, marking a significant milestone in their journey towards financial independence and professional growth.
Speaking on the occasion, officials said the programme reflects the Assam Rifles' continued commitment to empowering the youth of Manipur by creating avenues for skill enhancement, employment and self-reliance.
