Assam Rifles engages innovators on drone technology

Imphal, Oct 1: Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Spear Corps, interacted with a delegation from Rudram Dynamics Foundation and Srinivas University in Manipur as part of efforts to strengthen indigenous technological solutions for operational requirements.

The delegation engaged with troops on the ground and gained first-hand insight into the operational challenges and requirements related to indigenous drone and counter-drone technologies.
The interaction provided an opportunity for the security forces and technology stakeholders to discuss practical requirements and explore solutions suited to operational conditions.
The engagement also highlighted the importance of closer coordination between the armed forces, academic institutions and indigenous technology developers in strengthening technological capabilities.
The initiative reaffirmed Assam Rifles’ focus on technology absorption, innovation and operational preparedness while supporting the broader objectives of Atmanirbhar Bharat.
The interaction underscored the role of indigenous research and development in enhancing the capabilities of security forces and addressing emerging operational challenges through locally developed technologies.
