Nagaland, Oct 12: Under its Civic Action Programme 2025–2026, Assam Rifles distributed two water tanks and eight solar lights to Mezoma Village in Kohima District on October 10, 2025.

The initiative was undertaken in response to a community request aimed at improving access to clean water storage and sustainable lighting solutions. The distribution of solar lights will provide reliable illumination for households, while the water tanks will ensure better water availability for daily use.
Local residents appreciated the Assam Rifles’ timely intervention, noting that such measures enhance quality of life, support community development, and strengthen ties between the armed forces and local communities.
