Kiphire/Tening, Aug 25: Reaffirming its commitment to humanitarian assistance and community welfare, the Assam Rifles under Spear Corps extended medical support to communities in Nagaland through initiatives at Kiphire and Tening.

At District Hospital, Kiphire, Assam Rifles personnel voluntarily donated blood to support a patient requiring an urgent transfusion. The initiative provided timely assistance to the hospital and highlighted the force’s commitment to supporting local communities during critical medical emergencies.
In a separate outreach initiative at Tening, Assam Rifles organised a medical camp for villagers, providing medical consultations, essential medicines and guidance on preventive healthcare. The camp enabled residents to access basic healthcare services and receive advice on maintaining good health and preventing common illnesses.
The initiatives formed part of the Assam Rifles’ continuing efforts to strengthen its engagement with communities in remote and underserved areas.
