Assam Rifles holds CSO meet in Nambol

Nambol,, April 5: Assam Rifles under #SpearCorps organised a structured interaction meeting with representatives of multiple Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) at Nambol in Bishnupur District on April 3, 2026. The initiative was aimed at fostering civil-security cooperation, enhancing information sharing, and promoting community-driven stability within the Nambol–Oinam area.

The meeting saw participation from 46 representatives, including presidents and senior members from key organisations such as the Rising Sun Club, Youth Development Association, Pioneer Youth Association, Oinam Sports Association, and Apunba Meira Paibi Lup, representing diverse villages in the region.
During the session, Assam Rifles officials emphasised the importance of collaborative efforts between security forces and local civil society in addressing community concerns, preventing unlawful activities, and maintaining peace. Participants shared insights on local challenges, ongoing developmental needs, and community initiatives, enabling a mutual understanding of priorities and actionable solutions.
The interaction highlighted mechanisms for timely information exchange, community engagement programs, and strategies for youth involvement in constructive activities. Assam Rifles reiterated its commitment to working alongside local organisations to strengthen social cohesion, enhance public safety, and encourage proactive participation in maintaining law and order.
CSO representatives appreciated the platform, noting that such engagements foster trust, encourage transparency, and provide a direct channel for voicing community concerns. The meeting concluded with a consensus to maintain regular dialogue, ensuring sustained cooperation between Assam Rifles and civil society stakeholders in the region.
